About our layout. Constructed in the spirit of G gauge garden railroads, the layout is 15x42 feet in size and can run 6 trains at once. Joe
Stephens, owner and proprietor of Stephens Outdoor Railways, joined
with the late Mel VanDyke, Rich VanDyke, Jamey Eaton and other club
members to build a layout that is popular with guests young and senior
alike. Highlights include two levels of
operation, an artistic backdrop, a working tramway and trains by
Bachmann, USA Trains, Hartland Locomotive Works, Aristocraft and LGB. Visitors stand a good chance of seeing a Shay logging locomotive or two running on the layout and a smaller train running on an oval, suspended overhead.
