The MOVMRC was originally formed in 1981. In 2001, we moved from the Parkersburg Boys and Girls Club to our current location. The club was founded to provide a cooperative, entertaining, and safe environment for those interested in the model railroading hobby.

 

 

 

 

The MOVMRC helps spark enthusiasm for an important part of local history by hosting several open houses each year. Guests can make their way through many different layouts and experience model trains like never before.

 

 

 

 

For your enjoyment, we offer:

• Operating layouts in Z, N, HO, S, O and G gauges
• Portable layouts and encased displays
• Four open houses for the general public each year
• Annual Show and Sale in November
• Four levels of membership starting, at just $25 a year
• Meetings on the second and fourth Thursdays each month
• Participation in community events
• Group Tours available
